Who was Hippokrates (Hippocrates)
Hippocrates was an ancient Greek physician (iatros is the greek word for doctor) who is considered the father of medicine. He is often called the “Father of Western Medicine” in recognition of his lasting contributions to the field. Hippocrates is credited with making significant advances in anatomy, nutrition, pharmacology, and medical ethics. He is remembered for his famous dictum, “First, do no harm.”
Hippocrates was born in Kos, Greece around 460 BC. He studied and practiced medicine in several cities including his hometown, Athens, and Thourioi. He was particularly interested in the study of the human body, particularly its structure and function. He was the first to recognize the importance of observation, accurate diagnosis, and patient care. He also wrote extensively about the relationship between diet and health, believing that food had a direct impact on the body’s well-being. He urged for greater attention to preventative medicine and was instrumental in developing the Hippocratic Oath, a code of medical ethics that still guides the practice of medicine today. Hippocrates is remembered for his groundbreaking medical discoveries and his significant contributions to the medical profession.
Hippocrates was highly influential in his time and beyond. He established the first medical school at Kos and his teachings spread throughout the region. His medical theories and ideas were adopted by many of the great physicians of the era, including Galen and Celsus. He was also one of the first physicians to recognize the importance of nutrition in health, suggesting that food be tailored to the patient’s individual needs. His writings were widely read and studied for centuries and many of his concepts are still used in modern medicine today. For all these reasons he is often referred to as the “Father of Western Medicine” for his tremendous influence on the field.

Dr. John Lekkas
Dr John Lekkas is a GMC registered medical doctor with license to practice since 2013. After he completed his specialty as an ENT surgeon and his PhD in Greece, he dedicated his life and training to his great passion, aesthetic medicine, while keeping his private office as an ENT. He attended numerous seminars and workshops in many countries, including UK , for each type of treatment he offers, such as toxins (eg BOTOX), fillers, threads, mesotherapies and skin boosters, laser and PLEXR, liposuctions and hair transplants, IV drips etc making himself one of the most complete aesthetic doctors in the world.
He has worked for many aesthetic medical clinics in Greece and in UK and his experience includes about 10.000 injectable treatments and hundreds of hair transplants and liposuctions. He can demonstrate extremely natural and at the same time hard-to-believe results on the face and body for each type of treatment. His main characteristics are his passion for his job, his love for the patients and of course the personalized services he provides. His ethos and vast knowledge will always be the principles on which the patient can rely to discuss any concern and find the appropriate solutions.
Dr Ioannis Liapakis, MD, PhD is a Plastic Surgeon. He graduated from the “University of Athens Medical School” in 1999. In 2004 he was awarded his first Phd Thesis from the “University of Crete Medical School” and in 2016 his second PhD Thesis from the “University of Thrace Medical School”. In 2008 he completed his specialisation in Plastic Surgery at “St Savvas” Anticancer Hospital of Athens and immediately after he obtained a “Facial Plastic Surgery Fellowship” under the auspices of the “Dutch Association of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery” in the Netherlands and Belgium. In 2009 he worked as a Plastic Surgeon at the “Centre Chirurgical Des Princes” in Paris, France collaborating with Dr Marchac. In 2010 he was awarded with the certificate of the “European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery” (EBOPRAS) at Bern, Switzerland and at 2014 became a member at the “International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery” (ISAPS). He is an active member of “LEAP/Surgical Relief Teams” which assembles humanitarian missions in all over the world. He is also Reviewer and member of the Editorial Board of “Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Journal” and “Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology”.
During his specialization, he visited several famous Plastic Surgery centres in New York, Toronto, Paris, Stockholm, and Sao Paolo and he also attended several courses in Austria, Great Britain, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Romania, China and Egypt as well.
